help delete plate
i would like to install a radio delete plate 68-72 ranger,i have seen some pics, and need information on how it mounts,or what it mounts to. i was informed that the bezel is not to be installed and the delete .itself covers the hole. there are 2 mounting bosses on the back of the plate (delete) with nuts. i need the piece, or does the piece exist that these nuts attach to. when i removed my radio i had the rear mounting bracket only, and the bezel that it attached to in at the front

Re: help delete plate
it moutns to the holes in the ears behind the bezel. the radio goes through the dah holes(ears) and then the bexel is put over that to dress out the radio. it mounts directly to the ears for the radio. or the hole the radio knobs go through. this is the only pic i have aof a open radio hole. i hope you can see the ears.this is of a 67 dash thought so the radio delete plate is different in these truck. by where the studs on the back of the plate are located at.

Re: help delete plate
heres is a direct picture of a dash radio hole and ears. this was cut out of a 1970 F100 dash. the heater control holes are on the bottom. just ignore those holes. you wont be able to bolt a radio delete plate to the dash unless you have these holes f rthe radio in the dash. unless you could figure out another way to moutn it. maybe silicone but be prepared to tear it up if you ever want to remove it.
