Taillight lenses - a quiz

Post by 91Bear »

I bought a box of taillight lenses from a Craigslist seller today. I really only wanted the bumpside lenses he was selling, but he wanted to get rid of the whole box for $25.00. Now I have NOS lenses for all different makes and models of old cars.

Anyone up to a challenge? Some of the boxes are marked and some aren't. I'll post some pictures and see if any of you can help me figure out what cars the lenses go to.

sounds like once you get it figured out you can ebay them and make some good money, even if you sold a set for 25.00 plus shipping.

Well, that's what I am hoping for but the whole thing (minus the bumpside lenses) could end up in the trash!

First, we will start with an easy one:

For some reason, I am thinking Ford Galaxie or Falcon with this one:

do a search on ebay for tail light lenses. that will be tiresome but will give you what you need to see.

Try 1961-62 Falcon
There might be "61 FST" cast in the lens.

Looks like 61-65 Lincoln. Is "61CST" cast in the plastic?

1963 Galaxie 500 and Galaxie 500 XL.
The (stripper) 1963 Ford 300 and (base model) Galaxie did nto have the chrome trim.

Turns out they aren't NOS. They are made by Glow-Brite which makes them "period reproductions", I guess.
