Bet you started at the bottom when you put it in place, didn't you?

Are you sure you started on the top, or was the truck upside down?

Im sure I started on top, it just depends. All vehicles and applications can be taken at different approaches, its just easier for me to do trucks like mine from the top. You get the top in, with a hook tool you pull the middle of the bottom in. Then just rope it in. Did you use urethane fordman? That old windshield caulk isn't anything compared to urethane. Ive done about 2 of our trucks, but any rope in is mostly the same; you can start from bottom or top. I install windshields professionally. I actually prefer the rope ins because they take about 15minutes. You don't have to take anything off but sometimes windshield wipers.

But than again I got a suction cup to use, most people don't have those.

yes it was urethane in a caulk tube. we got it from the parts store. during that one hail storm we lost three windshields.

How long have you been doing this?

Your profile says you're 18 and work at Dairy Queen/High School. :hmm:

Ok well it's my grandfathers business. But when I was in highschool it was hard to have a part time job there because hes open 8-5. But school was 7-3. So I went in when I could, which usually amounted to 1 day a week. Learned how to do windshields, and done many since. But now that hs is over college is easier to work around a work schedule.
