how do you separate ignition switch from wiring?

Ok, my won't turn off issue could likely be either starter relay/solenoid or ignition switch, so I'm gonna change both. Have lock cylinder out of ignition switch, how do you get the switch to separate from the wiring? Been using a small flathead, but scare I'm going to bust the plastic wiring, is there some hidden switch or release I'm not physically seeing? HELP! Banjo.

ignore request, my eyes finally came back to me and I could see how to unclip it. Getting older is not for sissys!

One weak from today, I turn 48. Two more years till AARP start hounding me. Got bifocals last February. Even with 9 hours of sleep, I still have trouble keeping my eyes open in church sometimes. When it gets cold, my knees ache. My back goes out more than I do.
I sure wish that trumpet would blow.

95% of the time it's the solenoid. Disconnect the "I" terminal on the solenoid and your truck should turn off.

Not saying any of you guys are wrong. Just saying that as I age, I'd like to spend a few extra bucks and be sure it's fixed the first time, so I'm changing both. I truely appreciate everyones' reply, Banjo.

AARP ROCKS!!!!!!

After I reached 49, I couldn't wait to turn 50 so I could get my AARP membership.

With it, every year I save at least 10 times the cost of membership because of the discounts that come along with it.

That's one of the FEW advantages to getting older!!!

hey when you get that old just be one of those old guys with a rain coat and get all your stuff for free. they dont put old guys with raincoats in jail anymore.
