Post by killakobra »

went to fire up the 67 today and all it would do is spin. no spark from the coil but it has power to it. it's got a duraspark setup in it. any ideas?

if it has power to it. it could only be 2 things. the ground strap around isnt making good contact. or the coil went bad.

Box is toast as suggested above. Take a compothane hammer and tap the spark box while cranking. That used to work sometimes when we were trying to get the vehicle from the service drive to the work bay...
Incidentally, you can wire an MSD box to your Duraspark.

i wish i could afford an msd box. i took my box back to advanced and they gave me a new one (the first was only 3 months old with maybe 15 cranks on it)
