Door panel question

Post by OldRedFord »

What board do they use for the backing of the fabric door panels?

Also how can I remove the trim I have without tearing up the trim?

To remove the door panel from the door, use the tool on the right...The tool on the left is a staple puller....Start by removing the staples from the backboard, then hopefully, the vinyl will become unglued, rather than you...

I used that 1/8 inch masonite for mine---the stuff that's smooth on one side and waffled on the other, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it---it's a little thick...

How did it look with the 1/8 inch? Or is it just hard to work with?

1/8 inch sounds like the right thickness to me.
