I'm still looking for some more bucket seat brackets. There is a guy outside of town that has a small mountain of old mustang bucket seat's. Only problem is they've been out side for a while and need to be recovered at least. The rougher ones need foam too.
I have factory buckets in my 1970 lwb custom f350 dually.
you will have about the same leg room, and just a little more head room.
the main difference is the seat has very little give, so you get a lot harsher ride.
I'm not sure if those include the mounting brackets- anyone know? Is this the part that goes between the seats and the floor? Or the brackets and the seats?
So has anyone had luck finding a set of these brackets?? I am in the market for either a late model bench seat or a set of buckets. I can't stand the old bench with the worn out springs...
There's a post about swaping mounting late model seat's on the mounting brackets off your broken down bench. Just don't ask me where.
FYI don't toss the old seat if you can store it. It may come in handy
I'm still looking for a set of bracket's for bucket seats. If somebody would loan me a set. I'd go to a shop in town and get more made. There's lots of seats around
Just for historical reference, since I'm sure someone will search "bucket seat" later. NPD has the ford truck bucket seat reupolstery kits. Of course they are just mustang seat kits, but they are the correct color for our trucks. They will also sell you a roll of the matching vinyl if you wanted to do something cool like cover your headliner in matching vinyl.
In my 70 crewcab was originally white w/ an ivy green interior. I'm going to take the factory bucket seats out of my 71 SWB, cover them w/ some nice ivy upolstery from NPD, recover the back seat the same color and then repaint the truck two tone white and boxwood green. That will make for one sharp SWB CC.
