Warmed up enough to work outside a little. Pulled the front clip off. Feeling pretty good about it. Got all the skin on my fingers/knuckles except for one.

Finally getting into some work, replaced the passenger side exhaust manifold and began removing the intake manifold and making my way towards the timing chain. I have been waiting a while for this project! :D :D

I stopped to check on my 72 today. Fired it up and let it run for a 1/2 hour or so. While it was warming up I went over the things I want to get done on it this year. :)

I like winter but this time of year spring seems a long ways off. :(

I put a new exhaust gasket with some high temp silicone on my drivers side. Fired it up and I don't think the truck has ever been that quiet. I read a thread where somebody suggested this and It worked. I like loud exhaust but not at the motor.

I need to do that something fierce, hard to order at a drivethrough when half of the passenger side cylinder bank is blowing out the side of the notgasket.

Found out today that my alternator is dead. I've been thinking it might be out for the past few days of driving it, yup, been running off of batteries for about the last 100 miles or so, good thing I have a strong battery. The AAA driver who gave me the jump wouldn't beleive me when I said I'll just drive it home (I was only about a quarter mile away). I said it takes a whole lot ot get the old 390 started but almost nothing to keep it going. ;)
