f250 wiring harness in a f100?

Post by f100fordtruck »

Does anyone know if a 1969 F250's wiring harness will work in a '69 F100?
I'll get it one piece at a time and it wont cost me a dime...

No difference between F100 or F250... Only difference is in the options of the truck; full instrument gauges, or camper special, etc... as the harness is wired different accordingly.

So if i have a ranger, I'd want the truck I'm looking at to be a ranger, for the harness that is.

ranger is just a trim package. but the ranger can have the full instrument cluster gauges. soem trucks had only a dummy light gauge and those wirign harnesses are different than the gauge harnesses. i took the F250 camperspecial wiring and use dit in my 4wd F100. no difference. i just didnt put the tail light harness on it yet. mine is working fine other than putting in a few new switches. from the old cab. dummy lights and gauges is really all you have to watch out for. the rest should swap with no problems.
