Replacement seats for 68 F250

Post by Jerry1256 »

Hello everyone ..its been a while. My restoration is almost complete. I need a little help with my seat selection. Although I would lik to use the original seats..they just are not very comfortable for an old guy with a bad back. The suspension on this truck is like a buckboard..very rigid! The only give is in the seat springs..which if you hit a speed bump just right you can launch your passenger! I am thinking od putting in a set of bucket seats and would like to know what seats would be the easiest and best looking to mount. I have heard that the 1993 Thunderbird buckets fit nice but have never seen a picture...Do any of the newer Ford truck seats (captai chairs) fit nice? You input would be most appreciated!
thanks and I look forwrd to your ideas which are always helpful. If you could send a picture wit the seats installed o what you are using in yours I :? sure would appreciate it

Jerry1256,
Here's the tutorial on which seats should bolt up:

I've had two lower back surgeries in the last year, I literally "feel your pain".
