I found this on craigslist

And was wondering how it would work adding it to my existing 60 gallon air compressor/tank setup.

I was also wondering the same thing. Even though my compressor can handle ANYTHING i was wanting to put an extra tank on it for more capacity :hmm: I have an Ingersoll Rand type 30, 2 stage, 8 Hp, 100% duty cycle Think its 80Gal :?

does tank size have to do with gallons? my 22 gallon is a larger tank than that.

the only thing you'll gain with an extra tank is longer time between cycles, but then the trade off is longer run time when it does run, if you have an 80 gallon I'd say your probably good to go

The air compressor I have is a 80 gallon one, tank is plenty big for home use.
It lasts a good while using air ratchets and impacts, and keeps up nicely with my sandblaster.

My old old comepressor was a 30 gallon (IIRC) Craftsman portable, definate performance improvement with a bigger tank and a pump with more CFM.

Never did trust those "oil free" pumps anyway.
