Tail lights

Post by red403 »

Does anyone know if the tail lights from a 1966 f100 are the same size and shape as a 1967 f100?

Thanks, that is what I wanted to know. I will add that to my list and when I get the new tail lights they will be the 66 ones. I don't plan to have a bunch of chrome on the truck so it won't matter if the chrome will work or not. My truck will be far from stock when it is done and this will add just a little different touch to it from the rest.

What I thought would be a good idea , but I never did (yet)

Use the '66 lens and hook the back up light wire to the brake /turn wire for a brighter signal.
also it would be a extra bulb in case the original burned out.

I was thinking of using the back up light for the tail light and then hooking up both elements tail/brake/signal as the new signal lights but I will have to see how bright it is with the tail light on.
