I wanting to put some sound deadening in my 70 and I don't know much it takes I want to do the floor, behind the gas tank, and roof also if it isn't too much of a PITA I want to do the lower part of the firewall. How much square foot does it take to do a bump cab?? Here's the stuff I'm thinking about buying http://cgi.ebay.com/Automotive-sound-de ... 4a9e7f2624
Also if anyone has any pictures or other ways to quite down the inside of my truck I'm open to any ideas.

check out the post in here about a red carpet in the cab, cant remember which one .The guy used the same thing he got from Lowes or Home depot a 25 ft square roll which worked perfectly.I took his advice and I did my floor, roof, and still have enough for my doors. Its a quarter of the price and works just as good.My ![2 cents :2cents:](./images/smilies/icon_2cents.gif)

Re: Sound deadening in a bump cab?
Just finished the whole process using Dynomat. I really liked the peel and stick application. I used a mega pack that has 72 square feet. That did my roof, inner and outer doors, floor, the back wall from the top of the tank down and had a little left to put on the backside of the tank itself. I did order another 12 square feet because i wanted to do the front of the tank and a little bit more in the cab corners. I am not familiar with the product you are using, But man what a HUGE difference in the way my truck sounds. This is an awesome upgrade on any older vehicle. 84 square feet will do a fine job on any bump. Good luck, Tim

Re: Sound deadening in a bump cab?
I bought some reflective stuff at ace hardware and it seems to do pretty good. One of the most noticeable things about it is the side of the cab that has it on the top is noticeably warmer and frost stay on top of that side of the cab much longer than it does on the other side.
The other thing I did that seemed to really help is I spray foamed my cab corners which seemed to do a lot of quieting.

Re: Sound deadening in a bump cab?
I used some stuff a friend gave me he got from the BMW plant. It is peel and stick about 1/8" thick and is looks like an apfault type. I used that for the roof and inner doors and then I put the shiny stuff from lowes over that in the roof.
I can tell a big difference in the way the doors sound when you close them and the road noise is down probably 30%. Been too cold to see if the truck is cooler in the heat. The doors have always closed good but now they sound like a Lincoln when you close them or I guess I should say a BMW.![Laughing lol](./images/smilies/icon_laughing01.gif)
