Looking for a wire harness

Post by f100fordtruck »

It's been a while since I've done anything to the ole truck but gonna start workin on it again in about 10 days. What company sells a good wiring harness for a 1969 ranger package.
I'll get it one piece at a time and it wont cost me a dime...

I just know the Ignition wire is toast from the battery all the way to the coil, so whichever harness that would be on. I believe all the other wires are good.

The wire to the coil is a pink high resistance wire it has kind of a soft outer covering, it runs from the ignition switch to the fire wall in about the centre. It disconnects at the firewall with a red/white stripe and white red strip for thhe temp and oil senders. Just replace it if you have no power to the coil. The pink wire on my 67 has a braided outer soft fabric covering and is not wraped with the rest of the harness. All harneesses are the same for most f models from 67 to 72 according to the wiring diagram. Have a look at the diagram on this site. You should be able to use a harness from any model and it will fit (as long as its 67 to 72)
cheers

you can just replace the resistor wire liek he was indicating. it is availbe at the local parts stores as a resistor wire. i forget what gauge it is though.
