I just bought sockets from DC.
Can't figure out how they're ever gonna work in the housings.
Also can't seem to find anything that will work in the housings.

I ordered BAAA-13410. They fit in the housing alright. I just can't figure out how they would ever stay in the housing.

I looked at Auto Zone, O'Reilly's, Car Quest, Advance and NAPA - can't find anything. I suppose once I get frustrated enough I'll resort to JB Weld.

They're from Dennis Carpenter, not LMC. Page 54.

I guess I was hoping they'd work in front too.

So what has anyone used in front??

UPDATE: As of right now I've been able to combine the old sockets with the new innards and it seems like they'll work OK. I might change that statement the next time I have to change a bulb, though, if the socket pushes out the back of the housing.

i have wondered the same thing myself. since the front is sealed from the rear. i haveno idea how to reseal the inner parts from the weather. maybe silicone but that wont last a real long time.

The front turn/park sockets and rear tail/turn/brake sockets are exactly the same on my truck. Or at least they were when I started. So if those Carpenter sockets are for the rear, they should work up front too. So I have no idea how Carpenter expects those to stay in the housings - whether front OR back.
