Ok, I'm dying here. I can't seem to get the turn signal cam installed correctly. Here's what I'm working with.
Original turn cam:
Replacement aftermarket cam:
Steering column:
My issue is the replacement cam doesn't "exactly" match the original cam. The original cam has slots to accomodate the small sliding contacts. The aftermarket cam does not. Anyone install one of these yet? I could really use some help.
it should go right on and work. i am unsure why yours isnt. check out a few threads in the wiring section to see if you can find other posts about someone changing thiers. this is the first time i have heard of this. but i was looking at the above picture compared to the one i bought but havent installed yet. and mine doesnt have the pegs. i has a raised area the rasies both of the contact prongs on both sides. so it cant get caught up in the rest of the switch.
recently put one in and couldnt get it to go without shaving the plastic nubbies off...i think thats part of the self cancelling mechanism though...all in all...same situation as when i first installed it
