Loom Fasteners

Anyone know if these little wire loom loop fasteners are available anywhere. I'd like to get something very similiar...

i thought i saw those in one of the vendors catalogs. but i cant remember whos catalog it was now. i flipped through the lmc catalog and didnt see them. but i flipped pretty quickly once i go past the elctrical section. maybe they were in the body section.

I'm also looking to replace those fasteners!

While I haven't looked for them from the typical Ford truck parts vendors yet, I jumped straight to Mustangs Unlimited and found something interesting. It's on page 305 of their latest early Mustang printed catalog, or online here (in the upper-right of this page): Page 294

I'm seeing, "Wire Harness Straps. Plastic strap used to retain harness in engine compartment." Their '68-'73 part is 68562 and $1.15 each, or $13.95 for a set of 17 (it looks like the Mustangs took 17 total).

The photos in the catalog of these straps are tiny, but they look promising. Do you think they could be a match? Or at least something that would work nicely? EDIT: I looked again and I suppose they're certainly not a match, although they might be a good choice nonetheless.

You might have something there. I wonder if emailed, the company can send a picture. The ones pictured are #244N, the ones for 68-73 are #263N, I wonder what the difference is. I can't imagine Ford using different wire harness straps on trucks as opposed to cars for 68-73.

Although not exact, these http://www.superiormustangparts.com/pro ... d=376914-S appear to be somewhat similiar. One nub goes into the hole on the inner fender, then the strap folds over and goes over the other nub.

Are you planning on contacting them for a better photo and/or confirmation that they're the same as what was used on our trucks? I'd be happy to do this and post the results if you're too busy today.

I heard from Bobby that he got his looms and they're very nice! I heard that they're not EXACTLY the same as the OEM ones, but that they're fundamentally the same, and that they're a very nice fit in the sheet metal holes.

Following in Bobby's footsteps, I just placed an order for 25 of these gems! I'll be sure to post some super detailed photos here when I get some of them installed.
