years ago i read a part of a book that said soemthing liek adjust the headlight out to about 100 feet so that at 100 feet they touch the ground. or start to touch the ground. and they shoul dpoint straight ahead. then flip it to brights and they shoul dtouch the ground at 500 feet? i think. its abotuthe same fo rall cars and truck really. the shop manuals may tell you more or different than what i wrote.

You might check around your local repair shops ( I know every dealership I've ever worked at had them ) and see who's got the tool.................
Unless it's a ripoff shop, it should be whatever they're minimum charge is (less in some cases) to plop on the adjustment rig and do it exact.

Those little glass "protrusions" on your headlights are for the rig to align to.
The tool has levels on it to read as you adjust one correct. There's also a link (sometimes real link, and sometimes string, or even laser on later ones) that makes certain both headlamps are directly forward.

I actually pull into the carport and adjust to the side of the house to where I know it's close enough, and then use the rig whenever I have spare time at lunch.

Back when I used to do NC Inspections, the spec was 2" down and 2" to the right at 50 feet.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
