tail/brake light wiring

Post by badboyzkustumz »

so i got a set of 48 ford tail lights for my stepside. little cooler than the broken plastic ones i had right. well the new and old ones only have one power and one ground. im assuming that power from the tail lights and brake light both go into the one positive wire? :?

:nono: If you do that it will mess up your whole lighting system because your brake light cirquit will back-feed into the running light cirquit and vise-versa.
The light should ground throught the housing onto the truck bed and both of the wires + leads. One of the two wires should be for the tail light and the other for the brake/turn-signal.
