1968 Strange light - What is it?

On the lower left hand side of the dash on my 1968 Ford F100 is a light. When I start the truck it stays on the whole time until I shut the truck off. It appears like it had some kind of lense at on time isnstalled over the bulb. Is this a factory installed light? What is it for?

when it comes on that means the maid needs to clean the truck. only kiddign that isnt what it means. it means the brakes have a fluid pressure imbalance in the system. and the brake need beld to reset the system valve.

i thought it was a warning light for the park brake but i guess i was wrong

i learn somthing new everyday

some but very few of our trucks have in them now a warning light for the parking brake. so they have two little bezel lights down there. i think tof has one in his truck.

I have that pressure light thing, but it doesnt work.

i fit comes on when the ignition swithc is turned the bulb is good. if it stays on the brakes need bled to reset the valve. if it never coems on the bulb is bad or a wire is cut or not hooked up.

Thats what I was thinking fordman, it never comes on with ignition. I could try replacing the bulb, but probaly wont be bothered by it. Ive had so much brake trouble and am pretty good at tellings whats wrong haha.
