That's what it is about 95% of the time... the other 5% it's dirty or loose connections.

The last thing to consider and least likely (but I actually had this happen once) BOTH low beam filiments burned out at the same time!

I spent HOURS tracing wires and switches until I finally swapped a bulb (then the other) and everything worked fine.

Arggghhhh. . . . . the time I wasted!!!

I had both low beams go out on me one night within five minutes of eachother, but they were really old. I would check the high beam switch first like sated, seems easiest and logical.

I put a new dimmer switch in and still the same..I guess it would have to be the low beam lights just burnt out...There is no relay or anything in the system I take it?

the headlight switch has a breaker in it. if the switch goes bad then you loose all headlights. if you do have headlights then the red yellow wire fromt he switch to the dimmer is good. it could be a bad connection at the dimmer plug. the wires go from the dimmer plug to the headlights. http://www.fordification.com/images/sch ... _quick.jpg. i would check the red black wire for power to the headlights. that is the low beam wire. both sides use the same colro for low beams. if you have power at the red blackwire thenit is the bulbs. if you have no power at the red black wire then the red black wire has a fault in it somewhere.
