my a/c cuts off

my a/c cuts off

When i run the fan on hi it cuts off for about a minute, and then turns on again. What could it be?

bad fan loose connection heater resistor going bad? it could be soemthign else. i dont know. like a dirty switch.

YEP I go with Fordman on this one. I had the exact same problem with mine. Took the blower switch out and carefully took it apart. The copper sliders were filthy thus making only partial contact. This problem is even more problematic when the blower is on high.

I cleaned the switch interior with electric motor cleaner, used some emery cloth on the copper, applied white grease where the plastic slider contacts the switch base and problem solved. Blower works perfectly on all speeds with no signs of intermittant operation.

This is quite an easy job to do
