radio ears
ok i have a 67 the radio ears were cut out off or soemthign at an angle. so the holes fo rth knobs are gone but soem of the tab remains in the dash. i have saved the radio ears from a 68-72 truck. i think these came from a 71. they are different in shape as to how the 67 ears are or were. how or what is the best way to relocated the new 71 ears in the 67 dahs so the original 67 radio will fit correctly. i have the bezel maybe i could put it in without the ears and put the ears over the knob shafts and then mark the dash as to thier position? or does someone else have a better idea?

Re: radio ears
Could you cut the 71 ears to fit on whats left of the 67 ears ?? You could do it with a hacksaw in a vice if you had to. It would just be tedious work. A cutoff wheel or die grinder would be better.
Sounds like a little welding is going to be involved to do it right![Hmmm :hmm:](./images/smilies/icon_hm.gif)

Re: radio ears
i think cutting them and welding them is goign tobe one part that i will need soem help with atleast the welding on body metal. but locating the correct location for the ears is my first problem. the 71 ears are in the exact same location as the 67 ears are .

Re: radio ears
I wish you could put up a pic of what you're working with. Are the 67 ears missing or just cut & bent back?

Re: radio ears
it's not 100%, but the bezel helps hold the radio too. plus the rear hanger and i would think the radio would be pretty solid in there.

Re: radio ears
i forgot the camera yesterday. the bezel does do some holding as well as the rear bracket. i was just hoping to get the ears back on to do more holding of it.
