the 70 cluster is a one year only item.

yea i found that out last year myself. the 70 plug is different than the 71/71 plug and the 70 with idiot lights plug is even smaller than the 70 with gauges plug.

yeah i figure that out too. Tried to put a 72 in the truck.

71 and 72 are the same unless it is idiot light vs gauges and then the plugs are smaller for idiot light on the 71/72 plugs.

Hey flareside,
I suddenly developed and interest for this thread because my dash lights (and heater control lights) just went out the day before yesterday. I haven't gotten around to look into the problem.

well I do have a cluster for 71 the bad news its missing the circuit panel on the back :o

Yep that cluster didnt fix the problem. The good news i rolled back my miles between cluster the orginal had 64,000 now i have 14,000. :lol:

Mine's working again. I think it was just the fuse not making proper contact because I moved the fuse the check for current and now they work. Go Figure.
