wiring wrap
electrical tape melts off after a while and makes the wiring sticky after it falls off. is this the stuff i should use? would you use it on yours? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... AUS%3A1123

Re: wiring wrap
That's the stuff they used to use on factory harnesses.
It's tough to wrap correctly without doing it on an automated machine, but it will work fine if you take your time and make sure each successive wrap overlaps the last.
Have you considered the corrugated split loom? Unless you're going for a TRUE factory look, that would be my product of choice.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

Re: wiring wrap
I used to work at a place that made the wiring harnesses for a Lincoln, I forget which car. That looks exactly like the stuff we used and the wrapping was all done by hand. I still have a couple of rolls of it that I picked out of the garbage bin.

Re: wiring wrap
What you guys call electrical tape us electricians call Marking tape or Phasing tape.
This is what electricians call electrical tape

But this is what I do to racing harnesses.

Re: wiring wrap
The tape I showed will not come off and get sticky and messy. That is why electricians use it.
