I just wanted to say thanks to "quantumleap" for donating his extra bench seat he had laying around.
Now comes the part were I decide what look I want done to it?
I've been looking around for pictures of stock bench seats that have been redone but would like to see more.
You can post pics of bench seats from other makes if you have them since I only want to get some ideas.
My cost to have this done was nearly $1,000 (in the SF Bay Area). The seat frame was updated to accept a Dentside-era foam seat cushion, so it has a much more modern feel to it than the ultra springy seats that were installed in many Bumpsides.
I'm looking forward to seeing what other folks come up with!

I'm not sure you can call my recovered seat "custom", but here's my newly reupholstered seat. I selected the fabrics and stitch pattern. The upholstery shop fixed a couple of springs and installed new foam for only $300. Since this image was taken a couple of months ago, I've been fixing some rust holes and changing interior from red to black... almost done.
I had mine recovered 8 years ago. I've been wanting to get it redone like garner67's seat, with the cloth inserts, but the old timer that recoverd the seat has since passed away
Guess I need to find a new upholstery shop.

I initially wanted to do a super soft black leather on that bench. The kind you sink into when sat in. But would never be able to get around to doin it nor have a truck nice enough to put it in! haha
but for your truck combo if you do the dark green and the dark grey...i think that a dark grey tweed would be sick but in the original seat cover design.
Do some work with some memory foam and see what you can come with
Here are some that I found, I'm really liking the gray one which looks really custom but I don't know if it will be comfortable for long drives?
Keep the pictures coming!
here is a 91 f150 seat a buddy of mine did for a 67 we restored.
