Does anyone know if the wiring harness at the firewall for the rear of the truck in a 72 f100 and a later 70's model will interchange?

the harness that runs from the firewall to the rear tail light harness is the same from 67-72 except for the 67 has a different brake warning light wire in that harness. the rest are the same.

how about later 70 models such 75s or 76s?

the local pick and pull has one 72 in their yard, they said if it has the harnes it would be about $43. that sounds expensive to me for a used one, what do you think?

after 72 i dont know i have never looked at them. they might be.

i seen a 73 4wd today F250. it has the same plug as you would need. it also has soem extra plugs int he same harness that go to the brake switch and backup light switch. those plugs were different but they can be easily removed from the 73 and up harness.
