blinker lights

Can anyone tell me if the blinker lights in your dash are both constantly on when you turn your lights on? and then flash when you turn the blinker on? OR are they off when you have the lights on, and just come on and flash when you turn the blinker on?

they are suppose to be off and only come on when they blink. it sounds like a feedback through them. maybe from a burned out bulb and one of the wires is touching the other side and is feeding power back through to tunr them on. or it could be a wiring problem that is turning them on constantly.

the parts places have regular newer spade type fuse boxes you can wire in. i have seen them that have 6 or more places for wiring and fuses.
