It looks like you did an excellent job adapting this seat in to your truck! And I'm amazed with the quality results you achieved with such a small cash investment. That's effective and practical!

The seat looks very comfortable. Have you taken any significant rides in the truck since installing it?

what are those seat belts out of, I'm tired of mine falling into the door jam. The belts you have look more user friendly.

I *think" they are stock. The passenger side retracts, but the driver's side does not, so I have the same issue with it falling into the door jamb.

Those are the same belts as in my '71. At some point in the future I plan to remove them in favor of shoulder belts, I'm also considering a newer seat but haven't completely decided yet.

The next long trip probably wont be for a month or so, unless I find a smokin' good deal on a Performer RPM intake... When I get a good long drive in, I'll report back.

I'd like to do the same thing with the 3 point belts, so when you do this, please post how it goes! And what you robbed them from.
I prefer not to "recreate the wheel" when possible.

Thanks Zack! Yeah, it definitely makes me want to drive it more. Right up to the point I realize I'm getting 10mpg driving the Bump, versus 40+mpg driving the econo-box
BTW: I'm envious of your crewcab. Very cool!

Updated the first post with a long drive report.
Long drive comfort is an 8 of 10 for both my girl friend (5'-4" 110lbs) and myself (5'-10" 180 lbs).
Would rather have cloth, and the center console with cup holder. But overall much more comfortable than the stock seat with the broken down springs.

I purchased a chop saw to cut the flat steel bar for the adapters and I'll be attempting this soon. I already have the listed bolts. I'll take pictures and post when I do.
