I just removed an Audiovox brand AM/FM Stereo 8 Track from my 72 F100 doner truck today.
I had no 8 Tracks to test it out, but it seemed to be a professional instalation and every thing else electrical in the truck worked fine.
They even trimmed out the origional ford radio dash panel to make it fit. It was no hack job.
Was there ever an dealer option for an 8 track stereo? Or was this just probably the work of a skilled stereo shop back in the day?
There is a blue label on top of the radio that has two boxes for info like Date Installed & Dealer but if there was ever anything entered it has long faded away.

re: AM/FM Stereo 8 Track
No, there was never a tape player available in the '67-'72 trucks from the factory.
