After messing around with my TS wires I lost my brake lights. Any ideas? I have the diagrams, but are there any shared wires I need to focus on? I have power at the break light switch and the lights all work - just not when the brake is applied. Brake lights use to work before.
I wish there was a way to replace individual segments of wire harness vs. the whole wiring kit or one-wire-at-a time approach.

Re: Brake Lights
if they quit working after you played with the tss then the problem is in the tss. it isnt making correct contact to let the wire connect to send power in or out

Yep, I confirmed that last night. It goes back to the TSS wiring. Can you replace the entire TSS switch and wiring. I already replaced the cam and that wasn't it. Something is shorting out up in the TSS assembly in the steering wheel - I can trace power up to that point.

yes you can replace the whole tss and wiring. i am beginning to think it may be the only way to go and forget those replacement cams.

Counting the time and money I've spent on misc electrical connectors I could have replaced the wiring for the entire tuuck:). I must go that route when I find the time and motivation. Fow now the break lights are working through a temporary universal TSS. Not sure why the TS don't work though.

Re: Brake Lights
there are several cams made for these switches. soem are not corrct for the ford switch. soem are made by aftermarket companies. and wont work properly with the ford factory switches. now if you had a aftermarket switch and a aftermarket cam they may work better together. but i dont know if that is your problem or not. dorman makes the factory cams. and they work properly. i have another cam here made by bwd. that isnt correct for the ford swithces. it looks the same but it wont work. one member has one just like it and it didnt work on his tss either.
