door strikers
Does anyone know if the 73 and up strikers are basically the same and will fit a bump? ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Re: door strikers
I can't find anyone who sells the 67-72, so I was curious. It looks the same with the exception of the newer model has a torx inset in the middle to loosen or tighten and ours have a jagged edge that I suppose is used for getting a grip on it with a pair of pliers and taking it out.

Re: door strikers
They are a different size bolt where they thread into the door jamb, I tried to switch to a new striker with the plastic bushings, no dice. May have not worked anyways, because of the plastic vs. metal bushing
Use a 12 point standard socket or box end wrench, cant remember what size, to get the old ones off.

The nut for the striker just sits in a carrage on the back side, you might be able to swap out the nut. havent looked at a dent to see if there the same size, but just a thought.

thats a good idea if the striker is the same size and nut threads are larger.
