The price of rear bumper brackets
It seems like the prices on the stylized rear bumper brackets are dropping. I think Keith hit the high with $150, then I got $125 out of a set. I just had a real nice set close at $93 and another guy had his close for $86. Maybe it was because there was two sets up for sale at one time.

re: The price of rear bumper brackets
After I check back into it, this clown had listed his on a 3 day auction to close almost exactly an hour after mine did. I sent him a message and told him he just shot us both in the foot as these usually bring at least 125. He emailed me back with this tough guy, get over it attitude. Back and forth a couple times and he is threatening to mess up any auctions I put up. I told him if he wanted to be a petty and devious person there wasn't much I could do about it and pointed out he had 54 total feedback with 6 negatives and I had almost 300 with one so who was the better business man. Ended up he appoligized.

re: The price of rear bumper brackets
I have a question on the rear bumper brackets used for the contoured Ranger XLT rear bumpers. How similar is the contour to the front bumper brackets? Does the contour fit, and maybe the angle off a bit (ie if the bracket was mounted straight on the frame, the bumper would point downward or upward). If so, could it be welded to the frame at the proper angle?

The front bumper bolts right to the frame.

re: The price of rear bumper brackets
Ok, maybe I didn't make my question clear. I'm talking about cutting off the front frame horns, which are contoured, and welding them on the rear so I can use the contoured rear Ranger bumper. My question is, are the contours of the rear brackets and the front frame horns the same or close (so it could be modified to work)?

I see where you are going. Good idea. I have a couple of both bumpers so I will check the contour and see. Since the rear frame ends behind the lip that the bed closes against you will have to notch out to get around that. You can do the same thing with Bronco brackets I think because that is what's different about them

Willowbilly3, have you had a chance to look to see if my idea will work? No rush, just didn't want to forget.
