Bucket Seat Brackets make you off set?

Post by SteveBrethouwer »

I don't know if anybody else has experianced this with there factory brackets but, they off set too the right of the steering coloum a couple inches, it won't be bad once I put in a center console because I always find myself leaning to the right anyway in my 2001 f-150, just trying to be cool, lol. I don't know but it also could be that I'm using 1967 mustang buckets and maybe the seats on an original truck seat is just wider, am I Crazy or what?

It's not the brackets that are offset.

The steering column is installed at an angle.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

your right about the steering column pointing to the left. It bugged me enough that I made my own brackets out of 3/8ths 2" flat strap. Their welded to the rails of seats out of a 09 mustang where they cover the factory bench seat bolt holes. I did have to drill a couple holes for the inside front holes. But it was worth it to get the seat where I wanted it.

I meant 3/16ths not 3/8 cause that would be a little fat to bend in my garage!
