stock metal inside door panel years?

Post by zakt »

Did 1972 have the stock metal inside door panels. What years did have those?? I know my 67 did but thinking the handles for the 67 are different then the 69-72 so probably wouldnt work without some major mods (cutting/welding)

You need metal door panels? I have a set, with clips and screws, that will fit a '72.

Not handy, but I can get some this weekend. They are in my shed at the moment, or I'd do it now. :P

i think 71 was the last year to have the metal ones. but i could be wrong. i havent seen a plain jane 72 so those might have had the metal instead of the fiberboard panels.

My '72 has the metal ones, so I think they could be had in all the Bumps if '67 had them as well.

the holes fo rthe 67 panels are all in a different place. so even if you cut new holes you will have the old holes still in the panels.

I have a metal set that came from my Dads mallard green 72 and I have a black vinyl fiberboard backed set from my 72 Explorer special. Metal panels are screwed on and the vinyl fiberboard panels use clips. Thats all I have to say about that. :D :2cents:
