Guys I need your input. I put 24.1 miles on new speedo cable from LMC. Cable broke about 1 1/4" from screw assy. behind dash cluster. Why would this happen? I have good smooth bends in cable,(LMC cable is about 2' too long), I poured plenty of speedo cable lubricant down tube at time on install. Should I replace inner core? Try Mac's C5TZ-17260-Y? I wanted to mention this is frame off total restoration, everything apart. Failed to mention- 68 F100, 360 w/manual 3 speed on column.
Thanks

Re: Speedometer Cable Problem
Check to make sure your speedometer head is not binding.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak
