I know they make squares with adhesive backs that are made to work with zipties. I'm just not sure how long they will stick. I'm looking at the same thing. I took my pad out which was beat up when I sanded the cab. I haven't decided whether to replace the pad at some point or leave it metal. I kinda like the metal look a little.

i dont know how much work you are going to be doing but you could always weld sections of all thread to the bottom of the metal dash, but that will mess with the paint on the top side.

I removed the dash pad on mine and it had no effect, there were bendable metal tabs up under the edge that I ran my harness through... Didn't find them till I cut my hand on one during the strip down process to repair the heater and vents, etc... Maybe take another look? I doubt just my truck has them. Best of luck...

Re: no dash pad to hang wiring harness from
those hooks are only twwo of them i think one on each side and i am not sure every truck had them. i think i may have one or two extras for my truck. but i never saved them. i do have a harness just laying in there right now. and it doesnt seem to be bothering anything. so it may be a wasted effort for me.

You could try these... http://www.amazon.com/JT-Products-4735H ... B002UZZU0S... We use them at the packing house I work at to suspend wires from concrete walls, and conveyer lines...fordman wrote:so for anyone or those who have done this what are you remeides or thoughts about reahanging your wiring harness under the dash when you remove the dash pad permantly? i dotn want mine just dangling under there.
