headliner tips
I recently purchased a headliner and set of visors at a local junk yard...They are all in fairly good shape...the visors cleaned up very well...However when i began to try to clean the headliner its as if the paint or whatver material is used for the color is just coming off of it...Any have any recommendations on how i can restore it? Are there any type spray paints i can use to repaint it?

Mine is a 72 and it's kind of a hard/card board type of headliner. I'm not sure I can really clean it so you might just need to repaint it with a flat spray paint. I am going to be taking mine off tomorrow to put some sound deadener and padding behind it and I think I might recover it with a simple, clean vinyl to match the bench seat. I picked up a real nice original chrome headliner trim so I'm dressing it up a little. ![FORDification Rocks! :fr:](./images/smilies/icon_FORDification.gif)

Re: headliner tips
it is some sort of paint or other material. you can get all of it off that you can and try to repaint it. you will probably have to use a product such as kilz to prime and stop the paint from soaking into the material so you won't have to keep painting it several times before it wastes alot of paint.
