my split back seat...is it original?

Post by dablack00 »

Ok guys. My 71 has a seat, that the back is split. So if someone is sitting in the passenger side, I can still get out and move the seat back forward with out the passenger leaning forward. Is this factory? I don't think so, but I thought I would ask.

Sounds more like a 80-89 or later option. By removing the 80-96's brackets and put your old 67-79 brackets on it the later seat will fit. Some seats that is not all.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

it's probably from a mid to late 70s supercab. no rear doors at that time and still need to get in the rear of the cab.

Ah, yeah. That makes since. A supercab. I didn't think of that. It is vinyl so it can't be too new. When I bought my short bed, it already had a tired 74 truck 460 in it. I bet when he took the 460, he took the split seat too.

thanks
