Yeah, I am now in the market for a new glove box insert. LOL Mine disintegrated when I removed it to rewire the truck last week. Lots of little pieces...

I am planning on modifying my next one into a document holder/pistol safe for when I need to "secure" my piece. It's deep enough for a 4" barrel semi-auto and door, and wide enough to then hold the reg and ins cards, and a few other things.

Keeping your reg and ins card in the same location as your personal protection equipment is a not-so-pretty-good idea, both for your safety as well as the stress level of any John-Q-law types who might ask you for those documents if you were to get stopped. That's just my opinion, having been on both sides of that type of transaction.

wow, i never knew so many people actually used their glovey for anything other than the vehicle regs and leftover napkins and ketchup from greasy Ron's....well and maybe their "medicine"

I don't know why someone hasn't re-popped these out of fiberglass.

I just bought an A/C unit from Classic Auto Air. As part of their package, they provide a PLASTIC GLOVE BOX (shorty type used with a/c trucks)

My truck has a sheetmetal glove box. The original owner was a roofing contractor, I assume he or one of his guys made it.

Here it is next to a cardboard one that I got out of a now scrapped parts truck.

Unrelated, but he also made these under bed boxes out of sheetmetal.
