ac install

Post by heavyd1701 »

I have a lead on a dealer ac parts for $75. He has the underdash unit and hoses and such. No condenser or compressor. My question is do I have to find the rest of the parts as dealer air parts or can i substitute some factory air parts? And are there any place that sells the needed items at a resonable price?

I just text him again and asked about brackets. He has the one for the compressor but not the condensor. Is that a problem?

the compressor mounting bracket is the same. making sure your belt pulleys all line up is important. so you cant mix and match dealer vs factory air pulleys. look through some of the diagrams to get a better idea of the factory and dealer engine compartment setups on this page. http://www.fordification.com/tech/schematics_f.htm
