bench seat wont push forward

My bench seat is locked into place, I am pretty sure suppose to push forward. what is probably wrong?. May be the black L shaped hinge on side of seat.

there is a long wire that runs the length of the seat rails under the seat you can see if it is disconnected or broke,it does go to the handle you discribed to the other rail on the passenger side.hope this helps

slide forward or tilt forward? if it wont tilt it may be bolted together. just take botls out of it and it will tilt forward like the older trucks do. if it wont slide. the wire is gone or damaged. i have a extra wire for it if you need it.
