defrost vents

Post by blumule »

found some metal defrost vents at my local salvage yard, Ive never seen these before. They screw into dash . I thought we all had pads. Obviously some came with metal only. are these hard to find?

Some people take the vents out of dashpad and screw them on the metal dash if they go with out the dashpad.

:yt: the metal grates are from the insides of our dahs pads. if you remove your old cracked up dahs pad. you can break it up and get the metal grates out and bolt them back to the dash.

I have picked up a few sets. mainly as templets, so I can make thicker ones. i have cleaned them painted one, thinking about sending one to a chrome shop (depends on the cost) or make one out of a chrome billet grill at the junk yard or something of that nature. :2cents:
