Mustangs from the same era used the same buckets that came stock on 67-72 trucks. There is a thread around here somewhere with a diagram of the seat brackets you will need to mount the buckets. Here's a link: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... et#p464556.

truthfully. any bucket seat will fit. you just have to make holes in the floor to mount the seat. if you want original brackets they can be had as well as reproduction brackets. as mentioned above the mustang seats are the seats that were used in these trucks. i am unsure how the mustang seat brackets fit our trucks.

the seat brackets can be removed from the mustang seats and truck seat brackets used.

after driving my 88 93 and 94 F series trucks. i think the original back of the old bench seats need more support in them. i am begining to see why robroy had his redone to make it more solid. i am thinking of getting another 80's - 90's seat and havign it redone to match the old style seat covers.

So what I'm wondering about is how would some Harley Davidson seats look? My pick-up is orange and that orange on the seat would match pretty well. I'd have to build a center console.

those seats would really go well with the door panels & headliner you did

I kinda like my black vinyl bench seat to maintain that old school look and I can pile the kids in there and double buckle 'em. For comfort so far I have detached the sliders, drilled new holes in the seat frame, and mounted it with the stock brackets to lower the seat to floor and move it back as far as possible. For better support and comfort I was thinking of getting some thick upholstery cushion foam and cutting it to fit under the seat. Depending on the foam density I might be able to get rid of the springs all together.

I just picked up a set of 04-08 f150 seats with the fold down console and there is a lot of fabrication of brackets but they seam to fit the truck. They are pretty square so they work with the shape of the truck. Can you say "headrest with side and lumbar support"
