Ranger Dash Trim clips

Post by 68FORDJBM »

Does anyone know the PN for the clips that hold the trim around the dash in place for a 1968 F100 Ranger?

I've trued several times to make some clips with no luck either and I can't find anything else that will do the job. May have to go the route you went.

maybe a body shop would have something similar. i have never seen upclose what they look like. but maybe they are like modern door panel clips.

Still trying to replace the 2" piece of trim on my dash. Does anyone know where I can order a set of dash trim so I can get the clips. I can alway resort to supergluing some posts on the trim and using the posts to attach to the inside of the dash:)

My truck is a 68 Ranger F100. I'll post pics of what I'm trying to replace if that helps. Thanks.

Look for the trim on ebay or here in the classifieds as no one makes re-pops. I looked all over for these clips to no avail. I tried all of the local body shops including one that does hot rod stuff & they all wished me the best of luck.

You might be able to modify the new plastic push in door clips. Thats what im gonna try when I get to that point.

Metal screw heads worked for the posts but the only thing I could make work to hold the posts in place was silly putty:) This will work until I find those darn clips

I went searching for the same thing and was having a hard time so thought I would post an update. I ended up using a #6-32 hex head bolt that fit in the slot.

Here is how it fit and the bolt didn't rotate when I tightened them down.

Here it is installed.
