I'm not sure that the '69 ranger has a metal panel on the door. Mine just has the chrome trim ring and vinyl panel with the wood grain panel at the top. I'll post a picture tomorrow if someone hasn't beaten me to it.

a 69 ranger would have had the steel door panel with a chrome ring around it and a plastic panel covering the steel door panel. the sport custom got the vinyl with wood grain panel on it. and of course i deleted all the pictures i had of the sport custom i parted out.

The chrome trim ring covers the screws that hold the metal panel to the door. Then the vinyl panel just clips onto the metal panel.

Thanks fordman. I don't need any, I was just trying to explain how the 69 ranger panels have the chrome trim and vinyl panel mounted to the metal panel to another person and I couldn't get my picture of mine to load is why I wanted a picture.

Craig, those metal door panels that accomodate the inner vinyl panel and the outer beauty ring are not the same as the bare bones metal door panels on base models, are they?...

The ones for trim ring and vinyl panel just have holes drilled in them to mount trim ring and vinyl panel. Other than that they are the same, you can drill the holes in the plan metal panels to make the ranger trim ring and vinyl panel work with them.
