What years of dodge shoulder belts can we use in out trucks?

Well, I looked all over for the page, but I can't find it for the life of me.

I do believe you can use the belts & hardware out of any of the Dodge Rams from '80-'93. I remember the truck that was posted on the Fordification page was a '82 Dodge, because my uncle has the exact same truck. Even the same color no doubt.

If you decide not to go with used seat belts though, for whatever reason, perhaps this thread would interest you:

Also, even if you do pull some used belts from a wrecking yard, you'll probably need to tap the shoulder anchors in your Bumpside's cab. There's some info in that thread about how I did that to mine.

One more note: I've read that seat belts are designed to be used in only one serious collision, because they're designed to stretch a certain amount when put under great pulling force. And when they're put under this kind of force, the edges of the seat belt fabric will split, giving the belt edges a frayed, fuzzy appearance. These belts aren't much good because they've already been stretched to their maximum, so if you install them in your truck and get in a wreck, your body will need to take more of the force of the impact since the belts won't stretch any more.

Of course, if you go with new belts you won't need to be concerned with that.

dunno about dodge belts ,but 73- late 80's chevy belts work pretty good (you do have to drill a new mounting bolt hole in the floor tho')
