id go with the efi unit! more dependable and durable! its a hassle to graft the harnesses into it,just take EVERYTHING of the donor truck before you scrap it! good looking build you got there!

I'm going to grab as much of it as I can, just in case I do. Otherwise, I'll run a carb for a while, then get an aftermarket EFI setup.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Got the cab home yesterday, and on the dolly. I'm going to have to fabricate the panels on the inside of the cab corners, since I don't think those are repopped. Probably sand blast the bottom, to see what needs what.

I'm sure that dolly comes in handy....I'll may think of doing something similar for mine. I think keeping the efi from the donor truck would be really cool.

The dolly works great. Big thing was making sure I got casters big enough to handle the weight. Makes it easy to move this thing around!

Got the motor and tranny out of the 89. Amazing how clean the backside of the motor was. And, check out the differnce in transfer cases in the last pic. That little thing at the bottom left is the original out of the 67, next to the one out of the 89!

Before and after pics, got the bottom of the cab sandblasted. Floor is really solid.

I will have to replace some metal in some spots, like this corner, and on the floor support channel.

Started working on the spot welds on the front cab mounts. I bought the two bit set from Eastwood, comes with a 3/8 and 1/2 spot weld cutters. Works really well, using WD-40 to keep the bit cool.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
The passenger side is rotted pretty bad on the outside. Plus, I want to clean up the floorpan beneath them, so might as well install new mounts. The mounts I got from NPD are essentially the same as the ones DC offer, but they are way less expensive. I plan on cleaning up the floorboard beneath then, and then put on POR-15 under, exept where they will be spot welded back on. I'll put weld through primer there.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Here is why I'm pulling the front cab mounts. Pulled the passenger side last night, it's pretty roted out, as you can see in the first pic. And, I want to clean up that rust underneath, and seal it all up.

Here is another shot of that mount. It's not in good shape.

Oh wow, that's so much worse than it looked in the previous photos. I really didn't mean for it to sound like I was telling you what to do, I was simple commenting on what I saw. Just trying to return some of the help and opinions I've been given, sorry if it came out wrong.
On the up side, those floors look solid, right? And I can't wait to see how you patch those inner rear corners, as I'll be doing mine soon too.
Absolutely awesome job so far buddy, keep it up - I can't wait to see the updates!
