ADDING LIGHTER IN BLANK ON DASH

Post by lasereyes »

OK, sorry if I'm in the wrong section, it was this or electrical. Anyway added a new lighter where there was a blank in the dash and was wondering if the bezel ring that says "lighter" is supposed to come out with the knob or whether I have missed something and it should stay put while just the middle of it comes out on its own. Don't have anything to compare to..... :?

It's a part of the lighter element, so, yes, it would come out with the knob.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
