Someone with an original windshield and mirror, please

Post by My427stang »

Would you measure how far down your mirror is on the windshield? I'd like to try to put mine in the same place as stock

Thanks in advance

The bracket on my 71' is the type that mounts onto the metal above the windshield. Don't know if it's original or not? I do know I've seen and heard of several guys here that have the same type mount, (not the newer type as you're referring to).
Sorry I can't help with the measurement. :(

That is not original to a 71. I know that much. Not sure what year it is original though. I'd look at my truck but I've had at least two windshields in mine since my dad gave it to me in around 79-80. lol

I have an original windshield and mirror on my '69... the mirror in a box of parts on my workbench, it fell off for the previous owner. Probably should mount it, but the visibility is so good being up high, and with the nice big side mirrors, I really haven't seen any need.
